How to Look Up a Deed in Cumberland County

Searching public records for property ownership is not as complicated as you may think. Every property is indexed with the Recorder of Deeds Office and anyone can find the owner of a particular property by entering a few pieces of information. Below is what the page will look like and how to navigate the site.

STEP ONE:

Visit the Cumberland Co. Recorder of Deeds website https://www.cumberlandcountypa.gov/123/Recorder-of-Deeds

1. From the Cumberland County Website Home page select “Government”

2. select “Recorder of Deeds” in the Search Result Options 

STEP TWO:

Click the link or button that says “Landex.com” or “Online Deeds Record Access”

STEP THREE:

From the Landex Website click “Webstore”

STEP FOUR:

Click “Search” on the top menu bar

STEP FIVE:

From this page you can enter relevant information about the deed and “Search”

STEP SIX:

 After clicking “Search,” a list of matching records will be displayed. Review the list to find the specific deed you are looking for.

Click on the desired record to view more details.

Once you have selected the deed, you can view the document details, including the grantor, grantee, property description, and recording information.

If available, you can download a copy of the deed or order a certified copy for a fee.
